Ep 098: How to be a mobile home investor | Jay and Samera Harvey
05:26 – Despite trying a bunch of things, Jay and Samera didn’t feel fulfilled in their careers. So, they decided to look for a new opportunity and went to a Rich Dad Poor Dad seminar. They were blown away by what was possible with real estate investing.
07:43 – They have a friend that invited them to a small event and there was a guy there that was talking about mobile homes. After the event, Jay ran home and told Samera about this huge opportunity.
08:21 – Jay and Samera started doing their own research about mobile homes. They saw the need and the ability to serve because of the affordable housing crisis in the country. Up to this day, they’ve done over 400 transactions.
10:39 – After being scammed, Jay said that they learned their way up to that point and they had to make the decision to learn their way out.
12:03 – Jay said that they usually teach their students to focus on building as much revenue in their business as possible because so many people are focused on just getting the cash flow. Samera added that they teach 5 different strategies.
13:57 – The great thing about a mobile home is that transferring ownership is like selling a used car.
20:18 – Through all of the tests and mistakes, Jay and Samera learned how to trust each other a lot more. Going through those struggles actually helped them to look at each other more instead of looking away.
21:14 – Their huge focus is that they both like to work smarter, not harder. They know that they have to leverage technology.
22:01 – In order for you to level up and expand your capacity, you have to leverage other peoples time, knowledge, and use the technology and systems available to you.
