Ep 189: Build a high income, low maintenance STR business | Rachel Gainsbrugh
07:43 – 20 years ago, Rachel got her doctorate in Pharmacist and helped hospitals within the United States and that is her job by day. By night, she did real estate investing. She found such great joy in hosting others through short term rentals and she has found that this type of real estate actually accelerated significantly their wealth and opportunity for their financial independence.
11:59 – Financial literacy is so huge for Rachel, this is something she absolutely advocates for. She worked with other pharmacies and she showed and shared with them her journey and she was able to pay off her student loan and how she was able to invest.
12:22 – One of her life missions is to influence financial literacy. She wants to influence health care professionals because a lot of them didn’t know and has a lot of backgrounds in terms of finances work taxes and all of that
16:44 – Our strategy is to own and operate the least amount of properties that generate the highest profitability.
24:12 – If you’re purchasing a home, even it is not the most luxurious expensive home, it has to be clean because it is important and that is how you present the property.
27:47 – With their training with legends, they can step back and identify if things are gonna make sense with their portfolio.
28:31 – Not a great asset and unrealistic homeowners is like a disaster waiting to happen.
