Ep 101: How to predict the future in Day-Trading | Jerremy Newsome
04:47 – Jerremy grew up in South Georgia and had a phenomenal childhood but they were very monetarily strapped. At the age of 6, he watched a movie that changed his life, Forrest Gump.
05:08 – After hearing the phrase “We didn’t have to worry about money anymore” from the movie, a paradigm shift happened for Jerremy. Then he started to ask his father what investing was and what “the fruit company” was.
08:17 – He goes to conferences all the time and talks about the differences between real estate and stocks. Jerremy thinks that you need or should have some experience in both to really feel comfortable and confident as an investor.
09:39 – With real estate, it’s tangible. You can almost in a way force appreciation on a house if you need to or if you want to. It can be done with enough time and money. While in stocks, it’s all about the mental game. It is all about understanding why something is happening and what the demand is going to be.
11:15 – With stocks, you can do it on your phone with any amount of money very quickly and it’s extremely liquid.
13:02 – Just like with real estate or any type of investing, stocks simply need a little bit of knowledge and some know-how. You have to spend some time in order to create that train of thought.
15:33 – Take a little bit of your money and invest in a company that you actually spend your money on all the time and let that grow for you while you sleep.
17:59 – If you have the ability to understand the math behind stocks, it doesn’t become as scary because you can do it every single day.
20:03 – Jerremy disagrees with the “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” advice. He said that is how you can create true wealth and he explains why.
21:10 – If you want to create a lot of wealth, you do have to sit down, understand, think and create an idea, a path, and a company that you know is likely to be around and grow for years to come.
22:46 – Jerremy’s goal with his company is to enrich lives and they do that by teaching people how to properly and safely invest and hopefully make a consistent profit from the stock market.
24:38 – Just because a stock is cheap doesn’t mean it is good. It is so much easier to make money in a stock that is going up.
