Ep 079: A market crash is coming in 2020 | Matt Aitchison
03:45 – The most interesting real estate investment story that Matty has is about when he purchased his very first house to flip from a woman who was known as “The Neighborhood Cat Lady”.
07:16 – After Matty graduated in 2010, he started as an intern for about 10 months in a real estate investor for FREE. He basically doing everything from start to finish, and this is the best part of education he got because it took him through the process to understand how to connect the dots.
09:54 – Matty says that there are a lot of ways to still provide and add value to people and get access and promiximity to the wisdom, resources, education, and opportunity without necessarily working for free.
11:19 – Matty says that if he didn’t take the opportunity to work for free, he wouldn’t be able to coach and mentor the thousands of people that take his courses. And that is why he is grateful for the experience he gained by working for free.
13:15 – Matty thinks that the reason why people are held back from having the mindset that he had is that they don’t want it bad enough, and he explains why.
16:29 – Most people don’t want to be held accountable to follow through on the things that are required to have the success they desire, says Matt.

34:02 – There’s great opportunity in the down market, says Matt. He also thinks that wholesaling is going to make great sense from the hedging your risk perspective.
35:56 – There are a lot of different ways and strategies that Matt uses for different clients based on what their goals are. The number one thing that he asks people is what their goals are. From there he can determine what the best strategy is for that person and what market is best aligned with their goal.
38:03 – If you’re going to be a successful real estate investor you have to be committed to the long-term, says Matt. You also have to understand that there is a lot of work and effort that goes into it.
