03:19 – Jasper shares one of his most interesting AirBnB stories. One of his guests demanded an immediate refund but at the end of the day it was a useful experience says Jasper.
06:29 – Jasper talks about his history before he got into AirBnB. In June of 2012, Jasper tried AirBnB in search of alternative income from his apartment.
08:58 – Jasper believes that making more money and being able to use his own home and knowing that his guests are going to leave allowing him to regain control of his property is a massive win for him.
10:52 – Jasper realized two things about having an AirBnB business. One, he doesn’t have to go back to a corporate job. Two, he can now use his time to do podcasts and publish a book and start educating people.
16:15 – The number one thing that people are looking for in Amsterdam is experiencing Amsterdam like a local says Jasper. People just wanted to know what Dutch people are doing in Amsterdam says Jasper.
23:20 – Jasper says you have to educate yourself and be professional in the way you run your business and hospitality in your unit even if it’s only one listing.
26:43 – Jasper gives a little insight on strategies he’s using outside of his market. Jasper chose to go outside to new markets for a number of reasons.
28:37 – Jasper ended up purchasing three properties in Columbia, Thailand and the Philippines. The result so far is pretty good says Jasper.
31:24 – Jasper talks about how he manages those properties when he doesn’t even live there. One option is hiring a professional property management company.
33:57 – Jasper believes that if it wasn’t for AirBnB he would be sitting in an office working a finance job like he used to. Jasper is now educating people about AirBnB.
