Ep 111: Real estate success stories before age 21 | Cade Barrett & Scott Farrow

 

 

 

09:10 – Cade started learning and wanting real estate when he was in high school. After he read a book about real estate, he was pumped up and motivated to keep learning more.

 

10:07 – When Cade is in his second year in college, he attended a networking event in their university. A woman came up to him after the event and told him that his son is looking for an assistant in their real estate team. Cade also got his real estate license last January this year.

 

12:18 – Scott was running a graphic design business before he became a realtor. At 19 years old, he got his license and started selling houses. Over the last 2 years he mostly did a lot of reselling and also done a few flips and helped others in their flips.

 

13:25 – Cade said that it is good to have somebody who is further along and being looked up by Cade. And also challenge and push him to get better and to get to a higher level as long as he can.

 

14:52 – Scott starts to realise that this is a very possible career path and opportunity for him to also teach his friends and families about creating passive income.

 

18:52 – Surrounding yourself with the right people is the biggest mindset that Cade had.

 

19:29 – Scott said that you should first decide what field makes you happy and surround yourself with successful people on that field. And the way that you surround yourself with successful people in the field that makes you happy is to provide a service that benefits their life and they will give back.

 

20:49 – Scott had an urge to learn quickly as possible and the best way possible to take down deals with himself.

 

22:08 – Provide value thru enthusiasm, time and dedication.

 

26:02 – They needed to start somewhere and they also needed to not just let the talk be talk.

 

30:57 – For people who don’t know, one of the easiest ways if you have a connection to buy a home for a discount is to pay cash, Scott said.

 

35:21 – For anybody that is interested in learning how to raise private capital, it is simple, it’s not easy, Cade said.

 

32:11 – A lot of people would be really well fit to get into the business without a license, Scott thinks that it depends on what you want to do. But if you’re somebody who wants to work fulltime in real estate, part of your job is buying and selling other people’s homes and personal residences and the other half is buying yourself personal residence or buying investment.

 

38:02 – If you’re genuinely interested and you want to get into business, reach out to people who are doing what you are wanting to do, Cade said.
