12:39 – I learned that the reason why I was a great salesperson and a terrible sales manager was because I was a naturally gifted sales person.

13:21 – If you are not naturally good at something, it might be easier for you to understand how somebody is not naturally good at this one thing and needs to learn.

14:01 – The hardest thing for people to do is go from being a worker to a manager. The reason why is instead of relying on their own effort, you are relying on other people’s effort to get something done. 

14:11 – Hyper-productive people are so good at their own effort that they usually don’t ever want to rely on other people’s effort for above average performance because they see themselves as above average people, and they know they can rely on themselves.

21:36 – If you are an LLC, you are the lease holder but you still need a human to occupy that apartment. The business is not the occupant.

21:21 – It was easier to win in rental arbitrage now because there is less awareness and there are less horror stories before, so now landlords have opinions. There’s also cool stuff you can do. 

30:49 – This is a great example for you to develop the philosophy that you need to be successful from this industry which is “You need to know your value”. 

32:40 – Understanding that there is a value in this market place is probably the key to getting started.

35:47 – And if you are going to approach anybody to prospect your apartments, you have to to have your mind right. You have to have self-confidence, you have to believe that your product that you are offering is good for people.

41:32 – I recommend people to study hard and network hard, and try to build it on your own.

42:46 – You will never be ready until you do it.
